Sahar Toghyani and Saeed Abhari have worked together on and off across previous companies and projects. sarv.so is the company they are building now.
The first company in this line was RoboEpics — an AI-challenge platform, Kaggle but better. It was seeded by Hamava (کارخانه نوآوری همآوا). Because AGI was the founders’ mission, and because those investors did not fully grasp that the era of algorithmic AI was over — that traditional machine learning and generative AI are not the same pursuit — the founders chose to let that company fail and move on, toward work that could actually matter in the pursuit of AGI.
The second company was Xera, also known as Zirak / زیرک (xerac.ir): an AI models hub and more — a place to reach frontier models as a single surface, not a pile of separate accounts.
sarv.so is the third AI company. The mission did not change. The vehicle did. This time the work is research and product aimed at AGI, human–machine relation, and quality extracted from models — built poetically, and built to last.
What sarv.so is doing now
Right now sarv.so is being unconventional on purpose. It is boiling the ocean: rethinking every single layer of software, and — as these founders always have — playing the long game in AI.
In execution, something happened that the founders laugh at. They did not set out to lecture the industry. Unwillingly, and slowly, the work has turned into a machine that tells developers their entire lives have been a lie: the stack, the rituals, the “this is how software is made” they spent careers on is the old world.
The work is difficult. It is unconventional. They are more determined than ever. Their combination is rare — a Perplexity Business Fellow and journalist-founder beside a mathematics scientist who has been building toward AGI since 2018, across three companies — and that diversity of expertise places them exceptionally in the AI market of the region, and in effect of the world.

RoboEpics — what is worthy to know
RoboEpics (https://roboepics.com, GitHub https://github.com/RoboEpics) was an outsourcing platform for AI challenges: organisations put a problem on the platform end-to-end; people submitted models and code; the platform scored them and ranked the best. A company paid a fixed cost and tried many methods at once. The self-comparison they insisted on: they were Kaggle, not Quera or Codeforces.
The name is from the Shahnameh. “Epics of kings” became “Epics of robots,” then Robo Epics — رباتنامه. Rostam becomes a robotic Rostam. Hard problems are the Haft Khan. Users are Ferdowsi, writing a legendary character every time they write an AI. A line they put on the site: «آری به اتفاق جهان میتوان گرفت» — yes, by accord the world can be taken.
Saeed Abhari has said in public: BSc and MSc in mathematics from Shahid Beheshti University; he and close friend Ali Mirlou started it; about eight people; they decided in Ordibehesht 1399 (April–May 2020), in the first COVID peak, then lived together for two months and built day and night. Seed came from Hamava, in part because Saeed knew Dr. Kalantarinejad and wanted that particular investor, not just any VC.
What they ran, in Saeed’s own interview (https://virgool.io/@m_57368929/هفت-خان-هوش-مصنوعی-jui9rzpavkyx): they hosted Diginext’s AI entrance exam in exchange for shared workspace. Data Days Sharif (summer 1399 / 2020) lasted about two and a half months; he said that length was then unprecedented for an AI contest in Iran; about 1,000 registered and about 520 engaged; Torob outsourced a problem. He used the phrase خرد جمعی (crowd wisdom). The ambition he named: connect talent in developing countries to projects in developed ones — cheaper for the buyer, better pay for the solver, and a transfer of knowledge, not only of labour.
Later public traces, not in that interview: a GitHub repo points at a Behsazan Farda AI Challenge 2023 on roboepics.com; RoboEpics LinkedIn posts advertised a Digikala AI contest. The GitHub org https://github.com/RoboEpics is verified (created 2020-06-06, admin@roboepics.com) and still shows packman (repo2docker + Heroku buildpacks → Docker); Phoenix / phx (cloud jobs; Jupyter that can attach to Google Colab); phoenix-binaries (the README says an Agent can join a compute marketplace); docker-python (GitHub description: Kaggle Python docker image); roboepics-client. Hugging Face lists a verified company org RoboEpics with interest in large language models. The XeracAI GitHub org lists xerac@roboepics.com and https://xerac.ir — that is the listing, not a claim that they mailed from it. The founders name Xera / Zirak / زیرک as the second company.

سعید ابهری خودش گفته: لیسانس و ارشد ریاضی دانشگاه شهید بهشتی؛ با دوست نزدیکش علی میرلو شروع کرد؛ حدود هشت نفر؛ تصمیم در اردیبهشت ۹۹، اوج کرونا، بعد دو ماه با هم زندگی کردند و شبانهروز ساختند. بذر از همآوا آمد، تا حدی چون سعید دکتر کلانترینژاد را میشناخت و همان سرمایهگذار را میخواست، نه هر ویسی.

sarv.so is a research-and-product AI laboratory with a degree of madness, resilience, and optimism that has already outrun every reasonable argument against pursuing the dream of building what, until today, had seemed impossible — from this particular geography, in this particular time.
In Persian literature the cypress — sarv — stands for steadfastness, dignity, and hope: trees that hold against the wind and do not surrender their green. We walk our AI path with that philosophy, and we call ourselves خیلیسرو (Khili-Sarv). The company is sarv.so.
ما یک آزمایشگاه پژوهشی و محصولمحور هوش مصنوعی هستیم با سطحی از دیوانگی، تابآوری و خوشبینی که بر تمام دلایل منطقیای که میتوانست ما را از دنبالکردن رویای ساختن آنچه تا به امروز غیر ممکن به نظر میرسیده در این مختصات جغرافیایی خاص و در این زمانهی خاص باز دارد، غلبه کرده است.

01 The machine in service of the human — not the reverse — ماشین در اختیار انسان، نه برعکس
First: human flourishing is the question. What we build must not replace the person; it must raise the quality of a life. Each day the human should know more, be able to do more, and create better.
Second: we still believe the human brain is the most complex and efficient one-and-a-half-kilogram system on Earth. We prize human making, and we intend to build better than the statistical average of artificial intelligence.
Everything created in the shade of sarv.so — code, technical product, visual work, research, prose, and speech — should shout: an AI did not make me. In an age when every rival can reach the same models and call it “good enough,” distinguished making is harder than ever — and the real value sits at the far end of that less-travelled road.
اول اینکه بهروزی انسان برای ما مساله است. هدف این است که آنچه میسازیم نه او را جایگزین بلکه کیفیت زندگی انسان را بهتر کند. انسان هر روز توانمندتر شود، بیشتر بداند، بیشتر بتواند و بهتر بیآفریند.

In the shade of the cypress, you will work at the hinge of research and use. You will make interfaces that put advanced AI within reach — and at the same time help us see the next step. That means prototypes that test both the experience and the technical hypothesis; infrastructure we will build from zero when we must, not only what already exists; and work with researchers to turn experimental capability into experiences worth staying for.

نخستین شرکت این مسیر RoboEpics بود — پلتفرم چالشهای هوش مصنوعی؛ کگل، اما بهتر. بذر آن را همآوا کاشت. چون ماموریت بنیانگذاران AGI بود و سرمایهگذاران درست نفهمیدند که عصر هوش مصنوعی الگوریتمیک به پایان رسیده — و میان یادگیری ماشین سنتی و هوش مصنوعی مولد فرق هست — بنیانگذاران تصمیم گرفتند آن شرکت را رها کنند و به کاری بروند که در پیگیری AGI واقعاً اثر داشته باشد.
شرکت دوم Xera بود؛ همان زیرک (xerac.ir): هاب مدلهای هوش مصنوعی و بیش از آن — سطحی یگانه برای رسیدن به مدلهای پیشرو، نه انبوهی از حسابهای جدا.
sarv.so سومین شرکت هوش مصنوعی است. ماموریت عوض نشده؛ وسیله عوض شده. اینبار کار، پژوهش و محصولی است رو به AGI، رابطهی انسان و ماشین، و استخراج کیفیت از مدلها — شاعرانه، و برای ماندن.
